Manila, Philippines – The coach of the Gilas Pilipinas, Tim cone, is not worried about where the group of the Philippines for the Asian qualifications of the FIBA 2027 World Cup.
In fact, he doesn’t think at all.
“Everyone is doing a big problem with the draw, but I just don’t make a big problem,” said Cone, fresh from Ginebra to Ginebra to a victory over Phoenix in the Philippines PBA Cup at Philsports Arena on Friday.

“I mean, we had no control over this. If we had lost or won a match here or there that affected the draw, then we may talk about it or that we have regrets, but the main thing is that we have no control about it.”
Tuesday evening, Gilas was trained in group A alongside Guam and two familiar teams in New Zealand, and number 7 of the world in Australia
CONE said that he is not worried about winning or losing against specific countries in the group phase – it is a question of hitting a ticket for the World Cup.

“We will do what we need to do to do it. The main thing is that we have to finish in the top 7,” said CONE.
“It is work. It is not necessarily a question of beating Australia, New Zealand or Guam, it is a question of penetrating and qualifying. However, that takes us to do it, we will fight very hard to do it.”
Before Cone and Gilas could even worry about the qualifications of the World Cup that start in November, they must first manage business in August when they start their campaign for the Asian Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
