Former Ohio Buckeyes Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer reveals that he has once threatened to stop.
Meyer is known as a religious person, and during his time as a Buckeyes football coach, he would hold a biblical study for the players who wanted to attend. However, he revealed that it happened, Ohio State tried to deny him, which made Meyer threatened to leave.

“Every Sunday just before our team meeting, we will have a religious service because you take all week, the players do not have time to go to the church. So I want to bring them the church,” said Meyer. “The lawyer came to me and told me, a coach you can’t do that. I said I couldn’t do what.
“The person said that you could not have the study of the Bible and that you cannot have religious service. I said that we are going to do it … We do it, our sports director came and I said that we do this, otherwise, you have to let me go.”
Meyer said that the compromise was that they could not call it a biblical study or a church, but should rather call it a time to reflect. The coach also said that it was not compulsory, but he wanted to let the players have the chance to attend if they wanted it.
Meyer ended up being an Ohio State coach from 2012 to 2018, going 83-9 and helping them to win the national title in 2014.
Urban Meyer shares his prediction for Ohio State in 2025
The Ohio State Buckeyes won the national title last season, but Urban Meyer expects a slight step back this season.
Meyer predicted that Buckeyes would go 10-2 on “The Triple Option” which, according to him, would be a good season.
“It’s actually a sacred season with a new team,” said Meyer. “You know what a new team is by the end of the year is no longer a new team. It is a former team. It will be a veteran team when they arrive in Ann Arbor.”
Meyer thinks that the loss of the two coordinators will harm Buckeyes in 2025, as well as to lose so many key players at the NFL.
Ohio State has notable matches against Texas, Penn State, Wisconsin and Michigan, among others.
