Until now, the United Arab Emirates have recorded its highest temperature of the year, the mercury rising at 51.6 ° C at 1:45 p.m., according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).

The temperature has been recorded in Sweihan, Al Ain, and marks one of the highest temperatures ever recorded in the country this season, signaling an early and intense start for water summer.

This occurs only a few days after the water brought back 50.4 ° C on May 23, the highest temperature in May since the NCM began to follow the weather conditions in 2003. The current heat wave followed last April of the last month, which experienced an average daily top of 42.6 ° C, exceeding the previous April record of 42.2 ° C fixed in 2017.

Astronomical summer has not yet started, officially to leave on June 21 with the summer solstice – the point where the sun reaches its highest position and the most north in the sky, explained Khadijah Al Hariri, director of operations at DAG.

Last July, the United Arab Emirates recorded 50.8 ° C to Sweihan, a peak according to which the temperatures of this year are already appropriate, which raises concerns about what awaits us in the coming months of summer.

Authorities urge residents to take all the necessary precautions, especially since temperatures exceed the critical brand of 50 ° C. The extreme heat has serious health risks, especially for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, pregnant women and people with chronic diseases.

With the intensification of heat earlier than usual, health officials highlight the importance of staying hydrated, avoiding outdoor activities during peak hours and remaining informed through official weather updates.
