The United States is condemning an attack of the day after kyiv, the spokesman for the State Department, Tammy Bruce, said on Tuesday, confirming the death of an American citizen in Ukraine.
“We are aware of last night’s attack on kyiv, which has made many victims, including the tragic death of an American citizen. We condemn these strikes and extend our biggest condolences to the victims and to the families of all the affected,” Bruce told a press point.
Bruce refused to give more details out of respect for the family.
Kiev mayor Vitali Klitschko said an American citizen on Tuesday at a night air attack on the city on Télégram Application that the 62 -year -old was declared dead by city doctors. He gave no other details.
Russia has flattened part of a building in kyiv on Tuesday, its deadliest attack against the Ukrainian capital this year, as a huge dam of hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles killed at least 16 people and injured 134.
Ukrainian officials said a day of mourning on Wednesday for the victims of what President Volodymyr Zelenskiy described as one of the most horrible attacks against the capital during the war.
