Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone officially landed in Miami for the second competition of the Grand CHELEM track. The American was crowned “ Slam champion ” during the inaugural meeting of the League last month, and will be impatient to defend his title this time.
In 2024, McLaughlin-Levrone was the first athlete to sign with TPS, when the launch of the competition was announced by Michael Johnson. Fans were delighted to see the 24 -year -old get on board with the League, because it meant that they would have the chance to see her regularly outside of major events such as American national trials, the world championships and the Olympic Games.
Now, while she is preparing to participate in the Grand Chelem Miami track, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone has recently arrived in southern Florida. The competition should take place between May 2 and 4 at the Ansin sports complex in Miramar.
During the Miami de la TPS edition, McLaughlin-Levrone will participate in the Long Histles Event Group, which includes the hedges of 400m and 400m. Joining her as “runners” on the track will be more mamactive, Jasmine Jones, Rushell Clayton.
Adding to the competition, the “Challengers” will star Anna Hall, Dalila Muhammad, Sarah Carli, Andrenette Knight, Cathelijn Peters, Shiann Salmon, Cassandra Tate and Naomi Van den Broeck. While the terrain presents impressive runners, McLaughlin-Levroner remains a crushing favorite to win the two races.
Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone refers to participation in various events on Grand Slam Track

During the first meeting of the Grand Chelem piece which took place in Kingston last month, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone participated in the group of Long Histles events. In the 400m Haidles event, the American timed a 52.76 which placed him almost two seconds ahead of the whole field. In the 400m apartment, the Olympic champion ran 50.32s, ending once again two seconds ahead of his competitors.
After dominating the field in Kingston, McLaughlin-Levrone revealed that she was planning to change events for the second half of the Grand Slam track, saying to NBC,
“We have definitely talked about doing the (long sprints) in Los Angeles. Maybe even the 100 hedges, 100 in Philly. We will see what’s going on. ”
Fans will certainly be delighted that Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone explores new events, because this would prove to what extent its versatility on the track extends. If the world record holder opts for the group of long sprints events, she should face the 200m Olympic champion Gabby Thomas and 400m Olympic champion Marileidy Paulino in their specialty events. Likewise, if she was in competition in the short hedge event, she would be opposed to the Olympic champion of reigning obstacles Masai Russell.
