Like TNT’s nickname, Poy Erram’s teammates served as a “tropa” en route to the best offensive evening of his career.
On Wednesday at Ynares Sports Center in Antipolo, Tropang Giga shot down the rain or the sun, 111-103, on the heels of Erram’s score performance in the PBA Philippine Cup.
Instead of lounging in his stellar shooting, Erram gave his teammates all the credit, saying that he would not have reached this brand without them looking for it.

“I just let the game come to me. The defense focused on Roger (Pogoy) and Calvin (Oftana), then I put good screens to open them, but when the opponent doubled them, I found myself open,” said Erram. “It’s a great thing when you have teammates like that.”
In just 21 minutes of action, Erram flocked in 31 points – the most of his career – while totaling six rebounds, two interceptions and two blocks.
It was not any room with 31 rooms either. The big veteran man was very effective, going 10 out of 12 on the field and the line of free throws.
The Breakout evening of Erram also contributed to paving the way to Pogoy and Oftana to prosper, ending with 35 and 28 points, respectively.
“They are so disinterested. I am lucky that my teammates are looking for me,” said Erram. “In addition, I played a good defense. By playing a good defense, your attack will follow.”
TNT, now holding a 4-3 file, will face Northport on Friday at Araneta Coliseum.
