India stops two to “accommodate pahalgam attackers”

Islamabad: On Sunday, the National Agency for the National Inquiry of India announced on Sunday the arrest of two men to the cashmere occupied by India, accusing them of helping the armed men behind a deadly attack against civilians who led to a four -day conflict between India and Pakistan in April 2025.

According to NIA, the two suspects, Parviz Ahmad Jothar and Bashir Ahmad Jothar, are residents of the Pahalgam region, where armed men killed 26 people, mainly tourists, on April 22. The agency claims that the duo has provided logistical support, food and shelter with attackers, who would have targeted tourists based on their nun, their religious identity.

NIA also said that the suspects had revealed the identity of the three armed terrorists involved in the attack. However, New Delhi accused Pakistan of being involved in the attack, an assertion that Islamabad has always denied, without providing public evidence to support the allegation.

The murders sparked a series of diplomatic actions of reprisals between the two nations of nuclear weapons, degenerating tensions. The subsequent four -day conflict involved intense exchanges of missiles, drones and artillery, resulting in more than 70 deaths on both sides.

The arrest of the two men should fuel new tensions between the two countries, while diplomatic relations remain tense following the violent epidemic in April.
