Manila, Philippines – Loyalty has turned into an inheritance for the stars of National University Erin Pangilinan and Sheena Tring, who crowned their UAAP careers by leading the Lady Bulldogs to their third crown of women’s volleyball in four seasons.
Looking back where it all started for them, the intermediate blockers graduated Erin Pangilinan and Sheena Toring have credited their successful college stays to their decision to stay together from high school to college.

Pangilinan, who won four UAAP girls titles alongside her colleagues off-lying Bella Belen and Alyssa Salomon, made the special mention of their first coach, Babes Castillo, for having built their winning culture in women’s volleyball that they were able to integrate into the college ranks.
“The credit really goes to all our coaches, in particular the coach Babes Castillo. He shaped our character and always reminded us how important it is to have the right attitude and the good mentality when he played. He taught us to answer and adapt in all situations,” said Pangilinan in Philippin after scoring seven points in their game 2 game 2 for the room.
“It is a huge success for us, especially since we have graduated. It is satisfactory because since high school, we are targeting this. From high school to college, we really wanted to show everyone that naked is not only an outsider. We wanted to raise it. It is always our goal,” she added.

Toring echoes the feeling of Pangilinan, saying that their united objective of taking naked to higher heights led them to establish the lady Bulldogs dynasty in the collegial scene of a perfect campaign of season 84 to end a 65 -year -old drought to win consecutive titles.
“I think that a large part of our success is our loyalty to naked. We made the decision to stay and that is why we have kept our school championship sequence to the college, ”said Toring.
“It was our main goal. We wanted to compensate for what had happened in season 85 when we could not win consecutive. So we really pushed it to get it this season.”
More than the high school championships in college, the two are determined to continue the values they have learned in recent decades as nationals.
“Naked has really shaped us to be humble and simple. Naked is not as tall or “large” as some of the best universities, and I think that is what keeps us anchored. We have always had this hunger to get us more hard and work harder because we have really built this program from the ground. This is the lesson that naked has taught us, “said Paninginan.
“At the Nu Nazareth school, we had this mantra:” Stay focused, stay humble, stay hungry. This is something that we have always kept in mind and lived, “added Toring.
After a colorful collegial career, Toring and Pangilinan plan to join the PVL project in June. But for the moment, they will celebrate their third and last UAAP title first.
