Manila, Philippines – Dwight Ramos changed his hat to Ray Parks Jr., who recently won the Prix of the Asian player of the Asian year B. Japanese.

On Saturday at Venice Grand Canal Mall in Taguig, Ramos recognized the new distinction of his Filipino Import in the B. League after the high season of Parks Jr. with the Osaka Evessa.

Levanga Hokkaido Strengthening also recognized Thirdy Ravena, who won the same prize.

“When Thirdy (Ravena) won him, he had an incredible year of career and now Ray (Parks Jr.) also did it with all of his career heights, so I am really happy for them,” said Ramos during the event presented by G-Shock Philippines. “For two consecutive years, the Philippins won the award, so you must be proud of it.”

Friday, Parks Jr. was praised as the impressive Asian player of the year of B.league – the first of his professional career.

In 60 games for Osaka, the former TNT swingman recorded an average of 13.6 points per match on a clip of 31.5% beyond the arc. He also started in 57 of Evessa seasonal matches.

Parks Jr. kept the sequence alive for the Filipino winners after Ravena won the plum with San-en Neophoenix in 2023.

When asked if he planned to continue the same honor, Ramos said that his goal is to focus on personal growth following his contract extension with Levanga.

“I would not say that this is a goal because I am happy this year already after improving what I did the previous year. Each year, I just try to improve a little and when everything is settled.”
