The Lucknow Super Giant (LSG) spinner, Ravi Bisnoi, failed to go to the XI for their 2025 IPL match against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Himhal Pradesh Akash Singh stadium in Dharamsala on Sunday, May 4. Akash Singh replaced him in the alignment. However, Bishnoi has found a place among the five substitutes, which included Mitchell Marsh.
Bishnoi was put in the bench after his bad releases in his last three games, managing a single window. The 24 -year -old, however, won nine counters in 10 rounds, but at an economic rate of 10.41. The Super Giants kept it for 11 crores inr at the mega 2025 auction at auction.
On the other hand, Akash Singh picked up five counters in seven IPL games at an economic rate of 9.86. Overall, the average Rajasthan shop has 16 key cooked in 20 T20.
LSG chooses to play against PBKS in the IPL 2025 match
The captain of the LSG Rishabh Pant won the draw and chose to play against the Punjab in the first match at the picturesque Dharamsala stadium. Justifying the decision, the Guiche-Éclator goalkeeper said (via Cricbuzz):
“We are going to play first. We think it’s a bowling alley first. We don’t know how it will play. It looks like it will stop a little. Little loose on top. However, a good counter. It will be a good game. Bowling first, we will have the advantage and see how the game is going and that is the kind of advantage.”
With five victories in 10 games, LSG is sixth in Table IPL 2025. They lost against the Indians of Mumbai (Mi) by 54 points during their last outing. The Super Giants will wish to return to winning tracks.
On the other hand, the Punjab won six victories in 10 games, including an enemy of the rain against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) where they had to share a point each. They are placed fourth in the point table. They beat Chennai Super Kings by four counters in their last game. Some victories in their four remaining games could provide them with a place in the playoffs.
