Earlier, the national carrier of Israel, El Al Airlines, announced that he had extended the suspension of all thefts until June 19 at least on June 19, with other cancellations affecting several European cities until June 23. The airline had previously interrupted the services until June 17 after the Israeli airspace closed in response to the Iranian missile blows during the weekend.

“Once the approvals has been received from the relevant security and aeronautical authorities, we will do everything possible to allow the most many Israelis as possible to go home, gradually resume our regular flight schedule and operate rescue flights from destinations near Israel,” said El Al in a press release.

The National Security Council of Israel (NSC) also published a level 4 travel notice increased for travel through the Egyptian region of Sinai and Jordan, despite the two borders that remain open, urging citizens to avoid non -essential travel.

The sharp increase in cancellations marks the most important disruption of regional aviation since the Israel-Gaza conflict in October 2023, when most foreign airlines have ceased Tel Aviv operations. Many had only recently resumed flights before the last climbing with Iran.
