Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejected a report on Friday that the country’s military commanders ordered their soldiers to draw Palestinians in search of humanitarian aid in Gaza.

The daily newspaper, Haaretz, cited anonymous soldiers saying earlier that the commanders had ordered the troops to shoot crowds close to the aid distribution centers to disperse them even when they did not put any threats.

The allegations have followed repeated relationships of eyewitnesses and local authorities in recent weeks of fatal incidents around the territory’s aid distribution centers, where Israeli forces are fighting against Hamas.

Haaretz said that the defender General General, the main legal authority for the Force, had asked the strength to investigate “alleged war crimes” on the aid sites.

When asked by AFP, the Israeli army refused to comment on this particular assertion

Netanyahu said that in a joint statement with the Minister of Defense, Israel Katz said that Israel “absolutely rejected the defamations of despicable blood” and the “malicious lies” in Haaretz’s article.

The army said in a separate declaration that she “had not asked forces to deliberately draw civilians, including those who approached distribution centers”.

He added that “Israeli military directives prohibit deliberate attacks on civilians”.

After more than 20 months of devastating conflicts, rights defense groups say that the Gaza population of more than two million famine conditions.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza, led by Hamas, says that more than 500 people have been killed near aid centers since the end of May, when a new foundation supported by the United States and Israeli began to distribute aid.

The Gaza Private Humanitarian Foundation denies that deadly incidents have occurred in the immediate vicinity of its help points.

Netanyahu and Katz added in their declaration: “The soldiers of (Israeli soldiers) receive clear orders to avoid harming the innocent – and operate accordingly.”
