The first choice of recovery of the NBA, Zaccharie Risacher, went to the draft of the NBA 2024 directly from European basketball, while his compatriot Euro Dame Sarr chose Duke. While the intracics of international basketball can be confused for fans of the NCAA and the NBA, given the paths of the two young players who give an explanation. He also played two games in the league in the euro, scoring four points.
But during the 2022-23 season, at 17, Risacher’s stock started to increase. He played about 13 minutes per game in the LNB Pro A League and the Euro League. RISCAHER has an average of 3.2 points per game in Euro League and 2.6 ppg in the LNB Pro A League.
It was the 2023-24 season that Risacher’s development shone. He suddenly played in the Euro Cup and the LBN Elite League. Risacher was on an average of 13.1 ppg in Euro Cup, firing 56% from the 3 -point range. He added 10.1 ppg in the LNB Elite League.
From there, its NBA draft stock was high enough to allow its first global selection by the Atlanta Hawks. As a recruit of the NBA, Riscaher was on average 12.6 ppg while pulling 36% at 3 points.
Sarr played with Barça in Euro League and the Liga ACB in Spain. Born in 2006, Sarr played three games for the first time in the Liga ACB in 2022-23. In three games, he scored eight points. He experienced a minimum of time in 2023-24, not having scored in two games in Euro and scoring five points in two Liga ACB games.
But in 2024-25, Sarr showed much more potential. He collected an average of 1.8 points per match in 15 games in the Euro League. He added 5.8 ppg in 12 Liga ACB games, pulling 43% from the 3 -point range in these games.
While the development of Sarr was not far enough to be a first choice of recovery from the NBA, the child not quite 19 years brings a richness of talent in Duke for the coming season.
