The United States has added 80 companies from various countries, including Pakistan, to its black export list.
The United States has added six subsidiaries of the ISPUR group, the main cloud computing and big data service provider in China, and dozens of other Chinese entities on its list of export restrictions on Tuesday.
The ISPIR units have been listed for contributing to the development of superordinators for the Chinese army, the trade department said in a publication. Five of the subsidiaries are based in China and one in Taiwan. The Inspur group itself was placed on the list in 2023.
Inspir units are among around 80 companies and institutes added on Tuesday to the export control list. Over 50 are based in China. Others are in Taiwan, Iran, Pakistan, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
Ads are intended to restrict China’s ability to develop high -performance IT capacities, quantum technologies and advanced AI, and hinder the development of its hypersonic weapons program by China.
“We will not authorize opponents to exploit American technology to strengthen their own soldiers and threaten American life,” said trade secretary Howard Lutnick.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry, in response to an investigation on Wednesday, sentenced the US move and said the country would take the necessary measures to protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.
The Chinese Embassy in Washington said on Tuesday that it firmly opposed these acts that the United States and demanded that it immediately ceases to use military problems as pretexts to politicize, instrumentalize and arm trade and technological problems. “
The Inspur group did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
The United States also seeks to disrupt the purchase by Iran from drones and related defense items and prevent the development of its ballistic missile program and non-exceeded nuclear activities.
The government adds businesses to the list of entities of the National Security Commerce Department or foreign policy problems. Companies cannot sell goods to those listed without requesting and obtain licenses, which are likely to be refused.
The trade manager, Jeffrey Kessler said that the administration aims to prevent “American technologies and property from being unhealthy for high performance IT, hypersonic missiles, military aircraft and drones (drones) that threaten our national security”.

Chinese companies Nettrix Information Industry CO, Suma Technology Co and Suma-USi Electronics are among the other companies added to the list. The United States said it had been added for helping to develop Exascale Chinese Superordinators, which can process large amounts of data at very high speeds and perform large-scale simulations.
Companies have also provided SUGON manufacturing capacities, also known as Dawning Information Industry CO (603019.SS), opens a new tab, a manufacturer of computer servers added to the list of entities in 2019 for the construction of supercomputers used by the army, said the trade department.
Companies could not be attached immediately to comment.
Other companies have been added to the list to acquire articles of American origin to advance the quantum technology capacities of China and to sell products to companies that provide other listed parts, notably Huawei, the technological conglomerate considered as at the center of Chinese AI ambitions.
